User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.9) Gecko/20050711 Firefox/1.0.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.9) Gecko/20050711 Firefox/1.0.5 This seems to have just started today but I can't figure out what's causing it. Nearly everytime for every flash animation on any page, the animation is nothing but a white rectangle. I did actually get an animation to render when I opened a tab and loaded my homepage with a flash ad but flash broke again when I tried to load an entirely flash page. At first I thought it may've been related to a bug in the WM I am currently developing but I reproduced this with twm. Recent changes I made were to the noia theme from the default and to a different GTK-2 theme. I'm running Gentoo. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Goto a website using flash. Actual Results: The embedded flash animation is blank. Expected Results: There should be the visible animation.
Does this also occour with a new profile (run firefox -profileManager)?
I had the same thing using the Beta on WinXP pro SP2 - I reinstalled flash and then with a new profile and now it works properly.
Yesterday Firefox updated to Firefox 1.0.7, now i have this problem, too. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050919 Firefox/1.0.7 I'm working with XP Home SP2 Flash 7 No Quicktime installed, No Adblock installed. Please look at http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=320838 there are lots of people having the same problems, with different types of configuration. This now seems to be a major problem and should be solved immediately.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051006 Firefox/1.6a1 ID:2005100607 XP pro sp2 install_flash_player.exe Macromedia Flash Player 8.0 Installer DL'd 10/07 I confirm for my system
This no longer seems to be an issue with recent versions of Firefox and the Flash beta. It should be marked closed.
