User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050721 Firefox/1.0.6 (Ubuntu package 1.0.6) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050721 Firefox/1.0.6 (Ubuntu package 1.0.6) For example, at the listed site, null.myshelter.net, if you highlight a section of where it says "little more than 3 weeks" (which is underlined), the underline will fill to the right more than it should. Example: Highlight from "than" up to a new line, and the underline will extend to the right all the way to the "h" in "the". This does not happen with a plaintext HTML file with no formatting other than text and <ul>. Unfortunately, attempting to view the source of http://null.myshelter.net gives me the noframes message (??) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://www.null.myshelter.net 2. Highlight an underlined section of text (eg "little more than 3 weeks"), but not the entire part of the underlined text. 3. Drag the mouse up to a new line. The bug does not happen if you only highlight on the same line, or highlight from the underlined text down. Only if you highlight from halfway through the underlined text up to at least one new line. Actual Results: The underline extends to the right by a variable amount. The amount of incorrect underline-extending appears related to how much of the underlined text you highlight. If you highlight from "little" and up, the underline only extends 5 characters farther than it should. However, if you highlight from the "e" in "weeks" or farther, the underline will fill the rest of the line. The bug does not activate if you highlight the entire underlined section and up. Expected Results: Highlited the text indicated via mouse click+drag without making any other cosmetic changes to the website (extending the underline to the right). I am using the version if Firefox that is included in the apt-get repositories with Ubuntu GNU/Linux 5.04 "Hoary Hedgehog". I am using the default theme with several extensions and other themes installed. If the bug does not activate on a vanilla install of Firefox 1.0.8, it may be some sort of extension conflict or bug. Likewise, if it does not trigger with my same extension/theme setup in Windows, it may be a bug in the Ubuntu/Gnome tweaked version.
