Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6

Thunderbird closed (and set as default email client) when I click on a "mailto"
link the compose message window opens fine and allows be to compose a message
alright but, if while still in the compose window, I need to start Thunderbird
itself to refer to another message, I cannot. Thunderbird will not open while
an instance of message compose is already running.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Find a "mailto" link on the Web
2. Begin composing a message
3. Try starting Thunderbird

Actual Results:
The window entitled "Compose: (no subject) flashes on the taskbar and dominates.

Expected Results:
The window should have remained open, and Thunderbird should have been permitted
to run as a separate instance.

As far as I know my computer is quite ordinary. It's a Dell Inspiron 2200, only
a few months old, with Windows XP Pro as the OS. I have not fiddled with
program/thread priority or anything else that would cause this hitch.

I did see a similar (I think) bug description when I looked, but it was for a
MAC OS computer.

The Compose window's Tools menu allows you to switch to the main window, or open
it if it isn't already.
