303880 - Can't go online after software upgrade

Build Identifier: Firefox 1.06 help

I upgraded to the newest firefox last night after uninstalling my old firefox 
and it won't allow me to get on the net though I can with IE

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. hit firefox on desktop
2. watch as it trys to boot up any page
3. nothing happens

Actual Results:  
 just sits their looking like it is trying to boot up the page

Expected Results:  
shown me yahoo or any other page

Smells like a firewall problem which is blocking the new version of fx. Do you
have one on your computer ?

I turned off the firewall and still can't get it to do anything but sit their 
and act like it is trying to find a web page.  I really like the firefox, hope 
you guys can fix it for me!!
