Did you install over an old Thunderbird installation? What was previous version?
Was it a English Thunderbird 0.9 that you had installed a Swedish language pack
into?
Hi It was actually a english 1.06 with a previous languagepack "greyed out". But
it had been working with Th0.9. But even if I uninstall that 1.06 version and
install the swedish I get the same problem. Maybe I have to do something with
the lang-pack first?
Yes, it looks as if an old and incompatible language pack is used here.
Unfortunately, I don't think that merely uninstalling the lang pack will work,
so I suggest that you also go to your profiles "chrome" folder and delete the
chrome.rdf file that probably contains references to that lang pack. But back it
up in case you want to restore it later. If you are using other themes and
extensions, you may loose their settings when you delete chrome.rdf.

Your profile is most likely located at C:\WINDOWS\Application
Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default.

The implementation of lang packs in Thunderbird and Firefox are unfortunately
horribly broken when it comes to updating, so I strongly advice you to stay
clear of them in the future and use localized builds instead.
Hi,

Did a uninstallation of the lang-pack and 1.06-en as well as removing the file
from the chrome lib. Rebooted and reinstalled the 1.06-sv ... and even worse
result as shown in the attached doc. /Dennis
Hmm, don't know why that happen. You could try deleting the XUL.mfl file in your
profile and start Thunderbird with the "thunderbird.exe -UILocale sv-SE" switch.

Does it work if you create a new profile? On Windows you should have a shortcut
to the Profile Manager, otherwise start Thunderbird with the " -profilemanager"
switch.
Hi,
Removing the XUL.mfl file seems to have done the trick!
The switch was not valid but Th-1.06-sv started with the default switch anyway.
Thanks for the help!
WONTFIX, since this wont be fixed in the source and there is a valid workaround.
