User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050808 Camino/0.9a2+
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050808 Camino/0.9a2+

If you start to download a file, the phrase "Transferring data from <server>..."
overtakes the status bar mercilessly. Apart from other things, it prevents you
from seeing the URL of links when you mouse over them.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to some site with a file to download (for ex., provided URL)
2. Start downloading a file which is large enough for your connection speed so
that it takes some time to download
3. Watch the status bar

Actual Results:
Status bar continually displays "Transferring data from <server>..."

Expected Results:
If your mouse is just somewhere on the page, status bar should be blank.
If mousing over a link, status bar should display URL of link.

Under 2005080808 (v0.9a2+) and Mac OS 10.3.9. This started happening in the
nightlies a couple of months ago, I think.
this is a duplicate.
Whiteboard: DUPEME
Found the dupe....it's Bug 250295 and Bug 293350
However, that seems a little weird, because the problem has not been around for
a whole year (original report date of 250295).
Leaving this open for now, will do a regression check later, when I have time.
leaving whiteboard as is. turning down the severity however.
Severity: normal → minor
Found the regression.
build 2004110108 works fine.
build 2004110308 doesn't work and exhibits the behavior I have described.
So....link to Bug 250295 seems doubtful.

Just because Camino regressed at one day doesn't mean this isn't the same core
bug. We may have just been getting around the other bug for a period of time
without realizing it.

In that case, let's get back to getting around it ;)
Can someone change this to confirmed, or am I confusing terminology here?
Strange thing (to me at least, as an outsider), is that
http://bonsai.mozilla.org/cvsquery.cgi?treeid=default&module=all&branch=&branchtype=match&dir=mozilla%2Fcamino&file=&filetype=match&who=&whotype=match&sortby=Date&hours=2&date=explicit&mindate=2004-10-31&maxdate=2004-11-03&cvsroot=%2Fcvsroot
returns nothing.
It's nothing we did, it's a core change. The following query shows Camino changes.

I won't confirm, but will allow Mike to do so if he feels it's not a dupe, which
I think it is.

http://bonsai.mozilla.org/cvsquery.cgi?treeid=default&module=all&branch=&branchtype=match&dir=%2Fmozilla%2Fcamino&file=&filetype=match&who=&whotype=match&sortby=Date&hours=2&date=explicit&mindate=2004-10-31&maxdate=2004-11-04&cvsroot=%2Fcvsroot
Duping and reopening bug 293350. Comments in that bug.
