(Whiteboard: closeme 2008-08-28)

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird version 1.0.6 (20050716)

In the folders list appears some files that are put by TB on the folder. They
are created on the mail folder.

Names like:

compatibility.ini
compatibility.ini.msf
compatibility.ini.sbd

prefs.js
prefs.js.msf
prefs.js.sbd

Appear in the mail folder (windows) appearin as a single folder at the folders
list.

I use to have my mail on a different local directory.

I can delete manually the extra folders form TB o XP (colsing TB) but they keep
appearing.

I upgraded because the last version was creatin tsnmp-xxx files.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Updated to TB version 1.0.6 (20050716)
2. Created my account
3. Changed local directory for my account to an axisting mail directory
4. Testarted TB

Actual Results:
New folders appeared.

Expected Results:
See my mail folders, not TB system folders
The same problem over here...
TB Version 1.5.0.7 (20060909)

Any suggestions for this kind of weird behaviour?

Reporter, does the issue still occur in the latest supported 2.0.0.x / Shredder trunk nightlies?

(1.5.0.x is now end-of-life and the latest supported 2.0.0.x is 2.0.0.16)

Probably.
Amazing that this bug will be closed after three (!) years
unfortunately "probably" won't be sufficient to help us help you resolve the issue. testing results of 2.<something> or shredder [1] and screen shots of what you see and your settings would be most helpful.
