However, choosing "Save to disk" and clicking Ok seems to do nothing. When opening the Download manager, the file is not listed and nothing seems to have been saved. However, right-clicking on the download link and using "Save link as..." works (downloads and shows up in Download Manager) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://downloads.pokerroom.com/poker4/ 2. Click "Download" 3. Chose "Save to disk" and click Ok 4. Nothing happens Actual Results: Nothing Expected Results: Start download, show in Download Manager and save to disk.

Reporter, when downloading a bigger exe (over 2 mb for example), will the download manager appear? Also, can you check your directory to see if the file is being saved? If it is, this is a dupe (can't find the bug number though).

I'm pretty sure this is because of the small file size. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 290595 ***

Actually, I think I know what the problem is. My default download directory (I've set firefox to save all files to this folder) had the wrong rights set, which led to it being write protected as far as FireFox was concerned. However, this led Firefox to simply do nothing after pressing "OK" in the "Open file" -> "Save to disk" dialog. Is this expected behavior?
