With the current text, it not clear i'm downloading 5.5MB of what.
Should add simple texting saying you'll get Navigator and select anything else
in addition.
thx,
kevin
Marking beta 1, since this will be seen by and confuse both press and consumers
right off the bat.
thx,
kevin

This is a side effect of workaround fix for bug 29336.
The real solution (for bug 29336) is to check if a user has browser installed.
If they do, we will allow the user to de-select the browser component and
proceed installation. If they don't have the browser installed, we'll need to
make the option a "locked" checkbox, so user's know that it's a required
component.
Since we didn't have time to implement the right way, we did the workaround by
not listing the browser component as an optional component to install in the
custom panel.

Suggesting that this not be marked pdt+. The worst case scenario is that the
user gets a working install of Navigator.
Putting on PDT- radar for beta1. Can relnote for beta1. gbush, can you put
test for the release note the following bug please:

mike, did you say you have a new text for us to put into the option panel?

Darn. I had made a comment on this bug last night that obviously did not make
it through. I had cleared the PDT- for reconsideration and suggested a simple
text change.
Here is the text that I think should replace the blurb at the top of the custom
dialog:
"Netscape Navigator is always installed. Select the additional components you
want to install, clear the components you do not want to install."
ccing Samir and Chris Saito.

FYI, the Mac text already indicates that Navigator is always installed per the
"Custom Install" option's long description that is displayed to the user before
s/he moves to the custom selection dialog.
