After discovering and enabling Grouped By sort (hard to find), I've noticed a
consistent issue. I get a fair amount of junk mail every day, and it looks like
whenever I receive a junk mail item which is automatically moved from the inbox,
the inbox display becomes corrupted. Messages disappear, and/or the grouping
header disappears. It looks like Thunderbird is treating grouping headers as if
they were another message when removing the junk messages from the view.

Steps to reproduce:
a) Enable Grouped By Sort for the inbox
b) Enable junk mail controls, train them to recognize junk
c) Select the inbox in the folder tree
d) Make sure you have a few messages of varying ages in your inbox
e) Receive junk mail

Expected results:
The inbox display should appear as it did before receiving the junk mail.

Actual results:
The inbox display has become corrupted.

Selecting another folder and then re-selecting the inbox fixes the display.

I'm running Thunderbird version 1.0+ (20050808), with 3-pane columns view
selected, default theme, only the talkback extension installed.
I can affirm this bug, running Tb 1.5 with Linux (Kernel 2.6). It also occurs when merely moving a message to another folder. When moving one message away, the last displayed message disappears.
I believe this is a dup - please try a newer trunk or 1.8 branch/2.0 alpha build
