User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050809 SeaMonkey/1.0a
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050809 SeaMonkey/1.0a
In accessing the above site, I looked at the contents of two directories to see
if they had downloads I wanted to try, and then clicked the "back" button to
return to the parent directory. In both instances, instead of getting the parent
directory displayed, I got a blank grey browser window.
If I click reload or even stop, then the desired URL appears.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on a subdirectory of an ftp folder such as the one listed above to
display the subdirectory
2. Click the back key
3.
Actual Results:
A blank grey (default color?) browser window was displayed.
Expected Results:
The parent directory (the original URL) should be immediately loaded and displayed.
WFM with Seamonkey build 2005081205 on WinXP.
Version: unspecified → Trunk
A possibly related problem is that after a bugzilla search to show a list of
bugs, displaying an individual bug report, and then clicking "back" to return to
the bug list, I was getting a blank form earlier that would fill twice with the
bug list if I clicked reload.
It appears that in some conditions, Mozilla does not complete its display of
requested pages when doing "forward" and "back."

Navigating back from FTP subdirectories and bug reports WFM with
SeaMonkey/20050807, with or without fastback.
With what OS? My observation was seen in Win98SE. Haven't tried it in Linux yet.
I am now running zipfile Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.9a1)
Gecko/20050813 SeaMonkey/1.0a and am not seeing the previously reported problem.
The problem occurred with a full installer exe version. Trying the current full
installer next.
Sorry for the bug spam. I thought my revised comment would overwrite the
original as the midair collision warning seemed to say.
Now running the full installer version of Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US;
rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20050813 SeaMonkey/1.0a. No back button problems to report,
works great.
Resolving per comment #6 and comment #7.
