when saving as HTML a message that is received the code of this html file is messy.
seems a problem with implementing the info data (to, from...) in the html file

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.get a message from INBOX
2.file > save as > file > type=html
3.look at the source of html file.
you'll probably have to be a lot more specific for this to go anywhere.

Not sure of all of original poster's ideas of "messy," but one thing I noticed is that email addresses remain enclosed in < > tags, instead of their being converted to < and >, leaving the To and From address invisible in a web browser if there is no actual named recipient/sender.
Comment 2 is the dupe; but see also bug 74424, bug 164154, bug 227872, perhaps others.

When searching to be sure you haven't seen this bug before, don't look *only* under Thunderbird -- all of these bugs are Core issue, mostly under
MailNews:Backend.
