I tried to run the software to check it out, just to help looking around minor
bugs ( i'm not a developer ) and Deer Park stop working after it began to search
for update to html validator (base on tidy) extention. I have installed that
extention in the version of firefox that I currently use.

More details are needed. Did it hang? Was it responsive? Can you reproduce with
a more recent build?

Can this be a problem with the extension? In this case you probably want to read
FAQs on author's site and contact him.
