User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) Build Identifier: Repeatedly tried to install firefox. would only run in "safe" mode every time. Tried to install firefox for first time. used "auto" option on the installer. used Mozille's download site, downloaded with firewall and spy ware on normal. 2nd installation turned off firewall & anti virus, same thing,3rd installation put windows XP in safe mode disconnected internet preformed installation from "saved" copy of the installer. All attempts failed to produce normal mode working installation . Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.go to mozzilla's web site 2.download installer or save installer 3.run installer select auto mode Actual Results: clicking on the installed icon opens firefox however browser bars are un- readable and jumbled (see screen shot at link provided). Exited firefox went to "start/all programs/Mozilla firefox safe mode" program loaded and worked fine. Expected Results: Should have opened with readable search and browser bars
Have you tried a new profile? Did you use the latest release (1.0.6) or the nightly build?
(In reply to comment #1) > Have you tried a new profile? Did you use the latest release (1.0.6) or the > nightly build? Yes v 1.0.6 was used and obtained from your site last night. I always use the same user-profile with administrator's privileges. other programs and installers always work fine. This issue has only happened with firefox.
