The import hangs on some events and I noticed specifically that an event that does import but which should be a recurring event is not. When I try to set up the recurring info for the event the event disappears from the calendar view... even though it is still in the header view. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Import a recurring event 2.Note that it does not hold the info for recurring 3.Reapply the recurring info 4.Save the changes to event. 5.Calendar entry disappears. 6.Find entry in header list Actual Results: Calendar entry disappears. Expected Results: Event should not disappear.

Reporter: A lot of the code handling recuring events has been changed since you filed this bug. Can you please a) Test again using a current nightly and b) If that fails, attach a testcase .ics file that fails to be properly imported. Thanks.

Bug seems to have been fixed, however, now there is another issue. Please let me know if it should be another bug or listed here as a follow up. 1. Create an All Day event on a Friday called test1. 2. Set it to reoccur every 2 weeks on Friday. 3. Note that it is now correctly visible on monthly calendar. 4. Double click one of the visible events to open it. 5. Rename it to test2 and OK. 6. Note that a NEW recurring event is created for the PREVIOUS day! Expected name on original event to be renamed only.

Jim, please file a new bug for this issue, *IF* you can reproduce it in a current nightly build of Sunbird. I want to note that I *cannot* reproduce this in the 2005-09-20 nightly build on WinXP.

I have started bug number 309545. I was able to duplicate it and further, found that the issue has more to do with ALL DAY events than with a recurring event.
