i accidently disabled software installation. when firefox notified me, that
there are updated versions for some extensions available, the update window
(downloading..) froze without any error message.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. disable software install
2. update extensions

Actual Results:  
update window froze without any messages

Expected Results:  
firefox should notify me, that software installation is disabled and that i have
to enable it to install new or updated extensions
