User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4

This started right after I switched to version 1.0.6. I have tried everything,
now Firefox is worthless to me since I can not open a window.

Now a window opens when the application first opens, and is usable.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Apple-N
2. or "New Window" pull down
3.

Actual Results:
Nothing

Expected Results:
a new window.

Is your Downloads window open? I've had this same exact problem with Firefox for
as long as I can remember. If a Downloads window is open, cmd-N or selecting
"New Window" from the File menu don't work. In fact the Menus are greyed out.
The only way to open a window at this point would be to close the Downloads
window or by clicking a URL outside of Firefox.

I got the same problem here. Until now I was fixing it by closing the Download
window but if you got a big download running you can't close it and thus can't
navigate anymore.

Also today I installed chatzilla and it has the same problem as the download
window so that's more blocking as it forces you to leave your current chat
session to open a new window...

This is since the first version and the problem doesn't exists in Mozilla.
Please re-open if you can reproduce with a recent build and provide more details .
