The print dialog finds my printers and the splash screen progress bar shows that it prints. I can print to a ps file just fine and print preview works as well. I can print from all other apps (open office, gedit, evolution, etc). I am using fedora core 4 and gnome 2.10. I have: cups 1:1.1.23-15.1 gimp-print ijs driver epson stylus color 600 printer I really don't know that this is a Firefox issue but it seems to have started after I upgraded to mozilla 37:1.7.10-15.1. I don't know what else to provide. Any help will be appreciated. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.From any web page, select File...Print 2. 3. Actual Results: The print dialog shows the correct printer list. The printing progress bar works and shows that it completes printing. No print job makes its way to the queue and nothing prints. Expected Results: Print the page I am using fedora core 4 and gnome 2.10. So you updated from FF 1.0.4 to FF 1.0.6? Also i think it might have been a good idea to report this issue at the Fedora Bugzilla first. Do you also see this bug with a official FF 1.0.6 build from mozilla.org?

Also might it be that you have mixed your FC4 installation with Rawhide packages? Don't do this, if this is the case, resolve this bug as INVALID please.

I'm using yum with the base, updates-released and extras repositories. No testing repositories so I don't think I have Rawhide mixed in. I only have a few odd things (ee, gnomesu and gtkdiskfree) that I can remember. Yes, I need to report this to Fedora Bugzilla.

Well i heard from someone from Redhat that this problem is almost always that someone trys to use a FF version linked against a older version on Pango from FC4, but has a newer Pango version from Rawhide installed. Anyway, can you post the link to the bug in the Fedora Core Bugzilla here then?
I can confirm this bug for the following setup: Debian Sarge Gnome 2.10.1.1 Firefox 1.0.6-2 CUPS 1.1.23-11 No problems with printing from OpenOffice, Gedit, Evolution etc. When I use kprinter from Firefox, it prints just fine. User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050730 Firefox/1.0.6 (Debian package 1.0.6-2)

Comment 5 is not related in any way btw, he uses some Debian version and not some FC one.

Also printing does not work on: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; sl; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051014 Firefox/1.6a1 ID:2005101412 & Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051014 Tested also: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; sl; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051014 Firefox/1.6a1 ID:20050913?...20051014? The build from September could even work, I'll try to that report later, if I find time. Cruel fact stands for all Thunderbirds with same Gecko (message printing). Java JRE 1.5.0_04 & 0_05 from Sun, Linux based on Fedora Core 2, kernel 2.6.9.770, KDE 3.3.3.x. Tested on several webpages an messages, also in safemode.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; sl; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20050913 Firefox/1.6a1 ID:2005091311. Tested today. I thought it was good - well, no. TB-sl with same Gecko is OK, from same author, and prints messages. I think that there is problem in the chrome.

a ton of bugs from this time period have been fixed, for example bug 324635. can some linux friend put this poor bug to rest?

I'm not sure if this is related, but on Fedora 11 (cups 1.4-0.b2.18.fc11.i586; latest Minefield nightly), when selecting File -> Print, my printers don't show up in the printers list--all I see is the "Print to file" option. Printing to a file works fine.
