RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 298635

People

(Reporter: Blackgrue, Unassigned)

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6

Once about every five minutes it pops up with www.mozilla.org.

I've scanned the system with various anti-virus and anti-adware software so I'm
fairly confident that it isn't a 3rd party software causing it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. wait 5 minutes
Actual Results:
Continues to popup. (has done so during this error report)

Expected Results:
If it was a 3rd party issue the popup blocker should stop it.

At any rate it should not contnue to popup.

This machine has been known to be infected at one point or another with adware
and viruses, although it has been re-formatted since then.
Thi isn't very likely to be a FF problem, so there must be something on your
system trying to open a webpage. Very likely to be WFM.
