Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.11) Gecko/20050728 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.11) Gecko/20050728 The Mozilla AB palmsync does not always launch mozilla suite during sync. If Firefox was the most recently opened mozilla product, then palmsync launches firefox instead of the suite. I work around this by opening and closing the suite prior to syncing. Any suggestions for fixing this permanently would be appreciated. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open firefox 2.close firefox 3.sync palm Actual Results: When the Mozilla AB palmsync conduit should have opened mozilla suite, it opened firefox instead. Expected Results: The conduit should have launched the mozilla suite in order to access the mozilla address book.

is it possible that you've installed palmsync as an extension to firefox itself, instead of or in addition to seamonkey?

I never installed it in firefox. At one point I had it installed as an extension to thunderbird, but I did that through the thunderbird extension menu. In fact, Thunderbird is completely uninstalled now, including all user info in program files and application data.

Extension manager doesn't necessarily show the palmsync extension - so that is not a good test of whether it was or was not ever installed in Firefox. People have been known to install it accidentally in Firefox. Please do a search for filename mozABConduit.dll in C:\Documents and Settings\<name>\Application Data\ to find which \extensions directory it's installed in your profiles What do you get?

-> INVALID, likely a result of incorrectly installing PalmSync into Firefox if you see this problem, please search to find where filename mozABConduit.dll is installed in C:\Documents and Settings\<name>\Application Data\ and C:\Program Files\ The file should not be in any directories associated with Firefox. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/index.php?title=PalmSync_-_Thunderbird for advice on uninstalling and installing the extension
