Any formatting of text in the Address Book notes is lost when the note is
displayed in the "Card for ..." window. This information displays fine in the
"Edit Card for ..." window, but all line breaks are lost when displayed in the
"Card for ..." window.

I use the 'note' field in MS Outlook to keep track of detailed information about
my contacts. This information is formatted using line breaks, tabs, etc.
Unfortunately in the current version of Thunderbird, all the formatting is lost
resulting in one long unreadable line of text.

This is the #1 reason I cannot use Thunderbird. Please fix this!

Thanks

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Pick/create an Address Book entry
2. On the "Other" tab add the following:

"This is a formatted note with multiple lines:
line1
line2
line3
line4"

3. This information is displayed as:

"This is a formatted note with multiple lines: line1 line2 line3 line4"

4. The net result of this is that any formatting of the note is lost in the
display -- which usually renders the not unreadable.

Actual Results:
The text is displayed in the "Card for ..." window as:

This is a formatted note with multiple lines: line1 line2 line3 line4

Expected Results:
It should display the note in the "Card for ..." window as:

This is a formatted note with multiple lines:
line1
line2
line3
line4
You'll be happy to know we've already fixed this and it will be in the up and
coming 1.5 release of thunderbird.
