(In reply to comment #1) > http://kb.mozillazine.org/Mozilla_Suite_:_Issues_:_Connect Thanks for the link to the standard diagnostic. It gives me some idea what to look for. I'll try that and let you know if it helps.

(In reply to comment #1) > http://kb.mozillazine.org/Mozilla_Suite_:_Issues_:_Connect I have now tried everything on the standard diagnostic list except starting the program (not Windows) in safe mode. I can not find instructions on how to do this anywhere. I can bring up Windows in safe mode, but the instructions in the diagnostics specifically states "...not Windows Safe Mode..." Also, I am running through a D-Link DI-604 router on a DSL line. Again, information on ports used by Firefox seems to be hard to find. Note: about a month ago I had this program up and running without problem. Although I didn't have to configure my router to pass Firefox in my earlier install, I'm willing to try anything to get it working. Is there a list of ports used by Firefox available? Any assistance will be greatly apreciated.

One more piece of information. When I could not find the file, XUL.mfl I did a search and there is no file with the name xul anywhere on my system. This is true for both the initial install, and for the subsequent cleaning, fresh download and reinstall of the program. I'm wondering if there is a file missing from the download... Finlaly, FYI, I did a complete virus scan and spyware scan and found the system completely clean.
