I believe that XForms should be enabled in the seamonkey builds. The sooner -
the better.
The idea was to have XForms enabled in Mozilla AppSuite 1.8.

This is similar to bug 294182 "enable svg and cairo in seamonkey windows
nightly builds".

What needs to be done:
Add xforms and schema-validation to the extensions list in your .mozconfig. If
it doesn't already exist, add:
ac_add_options --enable-extensions="default,xforms,schema-validation"

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Maybe this should be done for more platforms - OS=ALL.

Requesting blocking-seamonkey1.0a.

Is there a tracking bug for seamonkey1.0a release?
OS: Windows XP → All
Version: unspecified → Trunk
Flags: blocking-seamonkey1.0a?
fwiw, that's not what should be done, instead the list in configure.in should be
changed.

there's no tracking bug, that's what the flag is for.
Feature requests don't block releases, esp. not for big features that don't have
wide-spread testing yet.
Not blocking doesn't mean it can't go in, but I seriously doubt we want this to
be included in 1.0 anyways.

OK.
But if not enabled in nightly build how to get wide-spread testing ?

Well, can you at least confirm the bug (someday seamonkey will have XForms -
wouldn't it[XForms != kitchen sink]).
About the inclusion in seamonkey 1.0 you can be deside later....

Why the doubts (it's just an extension for now, that need to be build - it
doesn't need to be installed though)?
is it a good time to enable XForms in seamonkey ?
is it a good time to enable XForms in Seamonkey now?
Summary: Enable XForms extension in nightly builds → Enable XForms extension in builds
It's a valid request IMHO.

i guess that best behavior must be like now with flash plugin - agent must be able to recognise feature and allow user accept or deny plugin download after first visit web page with XForm on it, nothing special - use same plugin as usual but without boring user by force him to recognizing not working XForms on page, searching & selecting proper version of plugin (Win, Linux, Firefox-version dependent), reading security warning and so on, just message "Page contains new generation of web-forms" and pair of buttons "Accept" and "Later"

There are no plans to add this to SeaMonkey, I believe it's not even in the source we are building nowadays.
