I have set the mail settings so that outgoing email shoud be recorded in the
"sent" items folder, but it is not.

POP or IMAP? Sent Items in that account or in the Local Folders? Are the sent
msg placed somethere else?

In response to ostgote@gmx.net's post, it is POP3, and the messages for that
account do not go anywhere else that I am aware of.  I do not have this problem
with two other accounts that I run through the email platform.
