Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040116

Attempting to run mozilla on a Sun Solaris 8 machine, crashes at startup with
the following error: "(mozilla-bin:3351): Gdk-WARNING **: Visual type=pseudo
color depth=12, image bpp=16, msb first is not supported by GdkRGB. Please
submit a bug report with the above values to bugzilla.gnome.org" Loaded the GTK2
packages on the target machine prior to running mozilla. Numbers other than 3351
have also been reported with the same error (2982 and 3362, for instance).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Find a Solaris 8 Sun machine with a 12-plane Pseudo Color display
2. Load GTK2
3. Attempt to run mozilla 1.6

Actual Results:
mozilla crashed with the following error: "(mozilla-bin:3351): Gdk-WARNING **:
Visual type=pseudo color depth=12, image bpp=16, msb first is not supported by
GdkRGB. Please submit a bug report with the above values to bugzilla.gnome.org"

Expected Results:
bring up the mozilla browser without crashing

See details above
If there is another version of mozilla which does support a 12-plane Pseudo
Color display, I am willing to try it out.

I wonder if this could be a Gdk bug (because it says submit your bugreport at
bugzilla.gnome.org)?
Yeah, this is a GDK bug that should be reported to the GDK folks...
