I went to http://labs.google.com/ and installed the Google Send to Phone to send
text messages. I get notified of the updates but ever since I have installed it
I can't download updates. I click on the green arrow the checking for updates
box comes up, but all it just continues to search for update and nothing
happens. I am  concerned that there could be security updates that I am not able
to download. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download http://labs.google.com/ and installed the Google Send to Phone
2. Wait to be notified of update
3. Then try and update

I see this too. The Extension Manager never finishes "Looking for updates". I
waited for at least 1 minute, using

Send to Phone 0.3
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050821

I suspect this is a problem for google to solve. They have the following update
url in the install.rdf:
<em:updateURL><![CDATA[http://toolbar.google.com/firefox/extensions/google-sms/update?guid=%ITEM_ID%&version=%ITEM_VERSION%&application=%APP_ID%&appversion=%APP_VERSION%&dist=google]]></em:updateURL>

Filling in the blanks to get
http://toolbar.google.com/firefox/update/update.php?guid=%7b452a61a1-543d-48ef-bcc8-60391fe6c68a%7d&version=0.3&application=%7bec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384%7d&appversion=1.0.6&dist=google
returns an empty document, as does substituting a version of 0.2.

Same here, except hanging after updating from Extensions window. Updates were
from jsLib0.1.278 and Flashgot0.5.7.8. Firefox is 1.0.6 under Win98SE.

I get the "downloading and installing (Firefox) update" messge-box with the
circular gizmo going in circles, but there is no progress shown in the progress
box (this has been going on now for 3 days (since 10-7-05).

Fixed here by uninstalling 1.06 and installing 1.07 (instead of upgrading to 1.07). Saved my bookmarks file just in case. Don't recall whther I had to use saved copy.
