Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050822 Firefox/1.0.6 (Debian package 1.0.6-3)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050822 Firefox/1.0.6 (Debian package 1.0.6-3)

This is very similar to the #212792 but the platform is RHEL-4.1, KDE,
thunderbird-1.0.6 (english) and calendar_linux_20050111.xpi and none of the
workarounds suggested for windows worked.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.start thunderbird and calendar
2.create a new event and send it to your self by mail
3.remove the entry from calendar and read your mail
4.try to double click or right-clic open the file

Actual Results:
The calendar window opens but the new event never opens up, this happens with
the calendar window minimized or closed both.

Expected Results:
See the new event on the clandar window.
If you're experiencing exactly the same problem, but on a different platform,
the best procedure is to comment in the original bug saying so. Your comment
could also include a request for someone with sufficient priviledges to change
the OS of the bug. Therefore, if you aren't trying to report a significantly
different bug, please resolve this as a duplicate of bug 212792.

As a side note, if you have the ability to build your own version of calendar
from CVS, it would be great to test whether this has been fixed on the trunk.
I'm specifically thinking that bug 295896 and/or bug 303113 might have helped,
but I'm not sure.
