User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; (R1 1.5)) Build Identifier: version 1.0.6 (20050716) I frequently log into my computer at home via Window's Remote Desktop. Quite often, if I receive new mail while logged in remotely, thunderbird will crashed with the "thundirbird has experienced a serious error and needs to close" error. I will have to go in and manually end the task and reopen thundirbird. This only occurs when I have received new mail, if no new mail has arrived there is never a problem. This may be a problem dealing with the notification icon, as it also happens if I don't have the notification popup enabled. It seems more likely to happen if you minimize the remote window. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Have Thunderbird running. 2. Log into the system using Remote Desktop 3. Receive new mail. Actual Results: Thunderbird crashes with the "thunderbird has experienced a serious error and needs to close" error. Expected Results: Properly notified me of new mail, and remained active. I am logging into a Windows XP machine with a Windows 2000 machine.

closing WORKSFORME. I do this quite often with many versions including trunk and have never seen this problem. Jeremy, please reopen the bug if you see the problem on a current version started in thunderbird safe mode.
