Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050811 Firefox/1.0.6
Build Identifier: Thunderbird 1.0.6 (20050803)

I have an IMAP account. It has an INBOX, and several folders in it. When new
mail arrives in the INBOX (either by clicking on "Get Mail", or by "Check for
new Messages every xx minutes"), the INBOX is marked in bold, and the number of
new messages appears next to it.

This doesn't happen when new mail arrives in any of the sub folders. Instead, I
have to click on the sub folder, and then it is marked in bold, and the number
is shown.

I would expect the sub folders to behave the same es the INBOX, that is, make
them bold as soon as there is new mail in it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
If you want Thunderbird to check other folders for mail, right click on the
folder and click on Properties. There you can click on a checkbox to activate
checking for new messages.
