Links clicked off the desktop and from many apps load in the current front nav
tab. They used to by default open in their own new window. So now if i'm surfing
and want to open a link in an email i must open a blank tab first for it, so it
doesn't bump my current page. Seems like a preference thing but there is no
option that i could find. ('open new tab from links' doesn't work too)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. click on a link in Mail.app or on the desktop (etc.)
2.
Actual Results:
link opens in the current frontmost tab, bumping the current page.
If all nav windows are minimized in dock, link opens silently in the last
visible tab.

Expected Results:
Should open in an idividual window of its own. (or new tab)
Should take focus when opening (a preference)

bug #154450 may be related.
Latest builds default to opening externally-opened links in a new tab (at least
on Windows). Your build is very old - could you try a current one.
ok lol i thought 1.8b was the latest, silly me ;P
Downloaded 1.7.11 and It works fine now.
resolved. thanks!
