Pinstripe is using a globe icon for any kind of common dialog (and for bookmarks), this is both confusing and not really mac-like. Assiging to Kevin.
The Apple HIG recommends using the application icon in alert dialogs. The blue globe is meant to be a placeholder and a branded icon should be copied in at build time if you have official branding enabled. Safari does this in all sheets AFAIK, even the password prompt sheet. Is the problem that the branded icon isn't being copied in properly?
hrm, I haven't done a --enable-offical-branding build for a long time now, I guess the application icon is used there. However, this still isn't the right icon for warnings, check out the "Reset Safari" dialog.
(Where warnings=common dialogs with more than a "OK" button).
I think the blue globe is there because of the reworked branding package 282057. I'll change the blue globe to the unbranded app icon. (In reply to comment #3) > (Where warnings=common dialogs with more than a "OK" button). The app icon is appropriate for most sheets. The HIG says that you should use a warning icon in rare cases when "a possible side effect of the task would be the inadvertent destruction of data. Don’t use a caution icon for tasks whose only purpose is to overwrite or remove data, such as Save or Empty Trash; too-frequent use of the caution icon dilutes its significance." Which dialogs do you think apply here?
Summary: Rework Pinstripee's common dialog icon(s) → Rework Pinstripe's common dialog icon(s)
at the very least: The "Close Tabs" dialog and the "Cancel Donwloads" dialog. However, is it possible to speical case them?

Marked as FIXED because there have been few updates since 2005, and the dialog icons have since changed (for the better, as per this bug, I presume).
Changed to WONTFIX because there was no patch. (See comment 6 for other information.)
