The app.update.url value seems to be ignored, since if I put
"ftp://ftp.microsoft.com" it still manages to connect and look for updates. This
seems new as of yesterday's build.


Reproducible: Always
This is intentional. The app.update.url is hardcoded, any user made changes will
not be followed. If you wish to use your own update url you should set
app.update.url.override.
