Details

The "place holder" splash screen needs to be updated on the trunk to reflect
that we're now at a working 1.1a level.

The current version should either be "hard coded" into the new image, the
version should be removed altogether, or something should be put in place to
dynamically create the appropriate version.  (Deciding on how to handle this in
general may have an impact on how the final splash screen is dealt with.)
