Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1) Build Identifier: 1.0.6 (20050716) When trying to import messages/addresses from Thunderbird into another email client (i.e.-Outlook, OE), neither Thunderbird or Mozilla show up in the list of accepted programs from which to import. Sometimes Netscape Communicator will be in the list, but when you try to import the "prefs" file it does not work. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Microsoft Outlook or OE (any version). 2.Go to File>Import and Export>Import Internet Mail and Addresses or >Import from another program or file 3.Mozilla nor Thunderbird will be in the list of programs to import from. Expected Results: Mozilla Thunderbird should show up in the "Program" list and you should be able to import from it into another email program.

(In reply to comment #1) > that's up to the other product, not Thunderbird! I'm sorry, I thought it would be built into T-Bird.

not for automatically exporting to another client, no :-) You can export address books in a variety of standard formats, and our mail messages are stored in a standard format as well (Berkeley mailbox format), so any client that can't import our mail messages isn't trying very hard :-)
