User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; BCD2000; TheFreeDictionary.com; SV1) Build Identifier: firefox wont open I tried to reinstall it 4th time (in 4 days) today, it wouldnt uninstall old or reinstall new, before and after I removed old FIREFOX manually from PROGRAM FILES & DOCUMENTS&SETTINGS Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.try to open Firefox about 4th time after re/installing 2.try to reinstall (sometimes will, sometimes wont) 3.read your page as much as I could understand (which wasnt much) and tried to remove FIREFOX from old folders so it could reinstall clean. Actual Results: Neither reinstalls, nor works (obviously, it's been removed). So I use IE6...thank heavens for a backup...browser. Expected Results: opened the 4th or 5th time... This has only recently (last month or so) been happening, but Ive not installed any new programs that I can recall... nor has installation of other programs bothered Firefox previously. I like FIREFOX but right now, it only works on my laptop. My desktop is IE6. So much for integration, I guess.
Which version of FF did you try to install? Some of the nightly builds can be completely "dead", whereas the latest release (1.0.6) works fine for almost everyone. You could try asking at: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=38 For some suggestions. The bug is likely to be invalid, if you were using 1.0.6 at least.
