bug 1156 might fix this (but maybe not... I'm not sure how IsPluginEnabledForType behaves here)

biesi: I found Bug 1691, so this should have been fixed a long time ago actually ;) (maybe it regressed?). Too bad this bug hasn't any info how it was fixed...
I _think_ that bug is about the case when the browser doesn't support java, as opposed to when it's disabled.
