I'm having a similar Gmail problem using 0.010 on Dell Axim X50V (Windows Mobile 5.0).  The browser gets to "loading" on the left side of the screen but never moves forward.  Application is otherwise still responsive.
Please try reproduce on 011.  I belive this is fixed.
