User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4

Using XP Home. When using the newest version of Firefox (1.0.6) I find that
after surfing thru 1 or 2 sites (never any specific sites), I get a standard
Windows report telling me that Firefox has encountered a problem and will shut
down. This has never happened to me for previous versions. If I revert to 1.0.4
I find the problem goes away but then I keep getting told that there is a newer
version available.

I prefer Firefox to IE and would recommend it to anyone, just wish that this
particular problem would stop.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install 1.0.6
2.Surf any sites
3.Firefox shuts down

Actual Results:
Reverted to 1.0.4 and tolerate being told there is an update.

Expected Results:
Surf like normal

No indication of actual problem - just 'encountered a problem and will shut
down' application - not machine.
Please provide a talkback ID for the crash. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Talkback
no reaction in 4 months --> works for me

(note: please upgrade to Firefox 1.5)
