Instance: History setting set to 0 days from prefs.

Now as you browse through the web you navigation bar has its left arrow greened
and the dropdown list shows the history. But the 'Go' menu item does not show
any of these pages there. So isn't there some inappropriateness? The question
is should the pages be shown in the Go menu? As it is common practice even if
some one doesn't wish to keep history of web pages visited,it should be kept /
shown as the session is active (until the browser shuts down).

If multiple tabs are open the Go menu list should also change accordingly?
(displaying the appropriate list for each tab as the use switches to it)
Currenlty it is not so.

Please consider.

Reproducible: Always
Summary: How much history to keep? → Should show session history in Go menu when global history is disabled
One more thing. Now it appears that in the history=0 instance the Go menu does
show the addresses; but only which the user typed in the address bar and 'go'ed
for.
Related to bug 277730 -> bug 247893?
I went through both the bugs and their related ones. As far 247893 is about
incorrect behaviour of Go menu (which is said to be by design but what i suppose
is wrong. A sensible way is to show the session history)

What I would like to point out is a specific instance: when History =0 days. I
have only indicated possibilities of behaviour in that case.

The second point is about varying the list as one shifts between the Tabs.

Also note comment#1.

I wish others would add their views.

I think the concept of a GO menu is not something we still have, and session history dropdowns work correctly even if history is disabled.
