I'm using Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.9a1)
Gecko/20050828 Firefox/1.6a1 which should include the fix for bug 197813.

I go to http://www.fotoknudsen.no using Safari, and the
applet to upload pictures on the site works. But the site won't work while
running OS X 10.4.2 and the aforementioned FF build.

Steps to reproduce
1) go to http://www.fotoknudsen.no
2) click NY BRUKER and create an account (first name,
last name, e-mail address, password, repeat password)
3) go to http://www.fotoknudsen.no again, and log in
4) click on BILDER
5) click OVERFØRE FRA PC
6) at the bottom, click on the red button saying NESTE (=next)

Either you get a warning about a missing plug-in or
you're taken to a page where you can upload pictures one by
one. Both of these mean that the Java applet is not run
correctly. If it would work properly, you'd get the
possibility to upload several pictures at once.

This was first reported in the appropriate Source Forge project, but it was
established this was a Tech Evang issue instead.

"Please file your tech evangelism bug -- I'm sure it wouldn't
be much trouble for this site to check explicitly for the
version of Java that it requires when it sees a
Mozilla-family browser. "
Patrick, is this still broken?

What sourceforge project are you referring to in comment 0?

Jepp, still broken:
"Du er nå blitt videresendt til vår alternative overføringsmetode fordi det ser ut til at din PC og nettleser ikke har installert JAVA. Du kan nå velge å overføre ved å bruke skjemaet under, eller du kan installere JAVA og prøve på nytt. Les mer om hvordan du installerer JAVA"

--> forwarded to alternative method for uploading pictures because it appears your PC and web browser do not have Java installed. You can also install JAVA and try again.

the one from bug 197813

cc'ing smichaud here as he might have some useful insight on just exactly what to tell these guys to fix it.

I will resolved as INVALID.
Feel free to reopen if you think the issue persists elsewhere in the site.
