When I manage newsgroups I find that I quite frequently want to 

1. change the way messages are displayed (View -> Threads -> *) and

2. want to know which view is currently selected for the current newsgroup.

When you look at the list of messages you have no clue which messages are
filtered out. You have to click on the View menu and point at the Threads item
to find out.

My suggestion is to add a widget that shows the state of the current view and
lets me quickly change the view. 

(The Bugzilla web interface for submitting feature requests, as opposed to bugs,
is confusing to say the least.)
