306832 - Bookmarks proxy icon (Favicon) not loaded when loading in a new tab

Load URLs or Groups in new tabs doesn't load the bookmarks proxy icon. 
My settings are 'loading in the background', add groups.

Steps to repeat:
1. middle click Status: link to open in new tab:

2. left click Status: link to open in new tab
3. switch to tab opened with middle click, try to drag icon.
4  reload to get icon.

This regressed between BuildID 2005083105 and BuildID 2005090105
Not seen in Deerpark BuildID 2005090107

I assume this regression was caused by the patch for
Bug 302575 URL bar gets confused about what URI is loaded
