User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 In our intranet site, we have css drop-downs that occur in the menu. On one page, we embed flash under the menu. The menus drop-down fine and we can roll over them. As soon as the cursor hits the flash object, however, the menus disappear. We have noticed that this doesn't occur on ie on a pc. http://www.target.com seems to have partially solved the problem, but when their flash object plays or loops, the menus disappear for them as well. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. http://www.target.com 2. mouse over a menu item 3. drop down into the flash object, still hovering over the menu Actual Results: The menu css menu disappears when you enter into the flash object or exit out of it. Expected Results: Allowed me to continue seeing the menu and choose the area! We tested this in different themes and it was the same in all. We tried it on three different macs (osX) and it was the same for all.
(In reply to comment #0) Don't know if it's your case, but have you tried using the "z-index" CSS property?
We use the z-index, and our drop-downs show over the flash just fine. When we mouse over the actual drop-downs that hang over the flash object, however, the menu disappears then.

I got lost in all the javascript and other stuff in the HTML source, can you provide a *minimal* standalone example (as an attachment of this bug) that can be studied more easily?
probably dup of Bug 202628.
This bug was fixed with the 1.5 RC1 release. Thanks Firefox!

Hi Van, it sounds like you're experiencing some visual problems with context menus? If so, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Core&component=Widget%3A%20Cocoa is the right place to file a new bug.
