I have a inbox full of mail. If I move the category "display message threads"
from the left side let´s say behind Subject all that comes before the new
location is gone in my email list. This means I dont see the email subjects
anymore as well as read/unread, attachment icons and so on. If I move every
category back to the right of "display message thread" it appears again.
I also can´t move the "display message thread" icon itself only all other categorys.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Thunderbirt
2. go to a inbox with some emails
3. move "display message thread" a few categories to the right or other
categories before (left) of "display message thread" 

Actual Results:  
all category contents that are located on the left of "display message thread"
are not visible. If I move the categories back to the right of "display message
thread" they are visible again

Expected Results:  
Do I realy need to answer this? Display the email subject, attachment icon, etc
as  normal ;)

I just updated thunderbird to the newest version but I must confess I never
tried moving "display message thread" before so I can´t tell if it is only a
problem of this build.

By "category" I believe you mean "column"?
I'm not seeing any behavior like you describe with the 0830 trunk build.  Could 
you post a screenshot?  (A smallish PNG, please; use the Create New Attachment 
link above.)

I just updated to the newest version Version 1.6a1 (20050904) and the bug still
exists. A reboot was also made still the same problem.

Yep, I see this is in 0904 as well, Win2K.  Also, once you've dragged the Thread 
column over, it can't be dragged back; you have to drag all the other columns 
over to its right to reposition it at the left.

No extensions or themes for Thunderbird
