As a test, I uninstalled Deer Park Alpha 2 and re-installed from the 20050831
nightly build.

I then did Help -> Check for updates.

According to the WIKI, this should ahave caused the server to realize that to
bring me up to the latest trunk nightly (20050903)  3 updates were required.  It
should have then added the size of the 3 partial updates and compared that to
the size of the 20050903 package.  Finding the partials to be smaller it should
have downloaded all 3 updates and then installed them in sequesnce.

What happened instead is that it updated me ot the 20050901 build which was at
that time 2 days old.  I then had to go through 2 additional Help -> check for
updates, download install restarts sequences to get to be up-to-date.

This may be a dupe of bug 284589, on second thoughts...
I suppose it is really a dupe, but the issue with nightly builds differs from
the issue with release builds.  The automatic update check interval is 24 hours.
 Thsi is the same as the normal interval between nightly builds.  Therfore, if
you are away a couple of days, automatic update cannot possibley ever catch up
becuase it will only do one update per day.
I also meant to add that the second issue is that no notification is given to
the user that not all updates were applied.  So, unless you check Help -> About,
you are incorrectly led to believe you are running the latest build.

Without changes to the client, this could be resolved by fixing bug 306864.

When the partial update fails and it gets me the full update, it still doesn't
download the very latest.
