307032 - After loading Firefox 1.06 Firefox is totally non-functional

Build Identifier: FIREFOX/1.06

I HAVE DELETED AND RELOADED FIREFOX 1.06 AT LEAST FIVE TIMES. AFTER LOADING 
THE BROWSER WILL NOT SEARCH OR INSTALL ANY WEBPAGE VIA THE ADDRESS BAR. WHEN 
ANY OF THESE FUNCTIONS ARE ATTEMPTED THE STOP BUTTON FLASHES BRIEFLY. FIREFOX 
DOES NOT LOAD DEFAULT PAGE ON STARTUP. TO USE FIREFOX I HAD TO REINSTALL 
1.04.THESE RESULT HAPPEN EVERTIME 1.06 IS ACCESSED.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.DOWNLOAD UPGRADE
2.LAUNCH BROWSER

Actual Results:  
SCREEN APPEARS SIMULAR TO 1.04 WITHOUT STARTUP DEFAULT STARTUP PAGE.AFTER 
LOADING THERE ARE NO RESULTS. SETTING APPEAR CHANGABLE BUT HAVE NO APPEARENT 
EFFECT.

Expected Results:  
BROWSER FUNCTIONING 

PROBLEM OCCURS IN DEFAULT MODE. THERE ARE NO ERROR MESSAGES DISPLAYED.

So is your caps-lock apparently.

Windows XP, sigh ... Reporter, you'll have to reconfigure your firewall after
you've installed Firefox 1.0.6. It's the firewall that blokc Firefox (1.0.6 is a
different application that 1.0.4 !!!).

This is not a bug in Firefox, but rather a configuration problem on your part
with your firewall. Please use the MozillaZine forums for end-user support.
