Linksys' pages for specific products feature both low-res and high-res images.
The links to each are not normal URLs but Javascript pop-ups (the status bar at
the bottom says "javascript:void(0)"). Clicking on the low-res link opens a
small picture. Clicking on the high-res link opens a new tab (with the default
"(Untitled)" tab label), shows the spinning beachball, then crashes FF.

The identical behavior occurs for Deer Park Alpha 2.

I'm not sure if it matters, but I noticed when downloading firmware from the
Linksys FTP site that the FF download manager says "xxx MB at yyy MB/sec;
unknown file size" instead of the usual "xxx of yyy MB at zzz KB/sec; vv:ww
remain". (I've seen this before in other places, too -- looks like it might be
something about the server not sending the file size at the start of the
transaction.) As a totally blind guess, I'm guessing that some timeout occurs
while downloading large images if FF doesn't know how large a file to expect.

From searching bugzilla and the topcrashers, the most relevant issues appear to
be bug 270392 (very long page with no "end" in sight -- no JS link, however),
bug 228557, and especially bug 238401. Unfortunately, I have very little clue
about how to read the stack trace, so I can't tell if the one I got is the same
crasher as any of those.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit the link above.
2. In case the given link doesn't work, go to www.linksys.com and navigate as
follows: Products>(Wireless)>Basic Networking>WRT54G Wireless-G Broadband Router
V3.0
3. Click on "Product Image (high res)".

Actual Results:
Crash-o-rama.

Expected Results:
*Not* crash-o-rama.

A big, glorious picture of this fine router, suitable for framing, should appear.

1. I have FF configured to open the image in a new tab -- not sure if the
Javascript would normally open it as a pop-up, but this may be relevant.

2. Two most recent Talkback IDs are TB9063974G and TB9078436M. I believe those
contain stack traces, but just in case, I'm attaching the most recent one.

I get a dialog window with the question what to do with the file:

You have chosen to open wrt54g.tif, which is a: TIF file from
http://www.linksys.com. What should Deer Park do with this file?
- Open with (Windows-viewer ...)
- Save to disk.

HJ->Ria: Interesting. Maybe it's a MacOS-only issue then??
Quicktime 6.5.1 crashes when trying to open the tiff using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows;
U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050905 Firefox/1.0+. I think this is
a plugin crash that is taking you down.

My results:

Illegal Operation in Plug-in error message
Quicktime Plug-in 7.0.3
The plug-in performed an illegal operation.
You are advised to restart SeaMonkey.

Note that TIFF is enabled in QT plug-in MIME types.

I expect SeaMonkey to crash shortly.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20060502 BonEcho/2.0a1
QuickTime Plug-in 7.0.4

This crashed me too.

1. Go to http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?childpagename=US%2FLayout&packedargs=c%3DL_Product_C2%26cid%3D1115416825557&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper
2. Middle right of page, click "Product Image (high res)"
3. Popup appears and an error is displayed:
"Illegal Operation in Plug-in error message
   Quicktime Plug-in 7.0.3
The plug-in performed an illegal operation.
You are advised to restart Bon Echo."
4. OK'd the dialog
5. After a while, the .tiff had finished downloading, but was still not displayed
6. Tried to resize the popup window
7. CRASH, with TB18225963E
The stack trace attached here appears to be very similar to that in Bug 187421, so this may be a duplicate of Bug 187421.

Reporter (HJ): please check Bug 187421 and mark this bug as a duplicate of Bug 187421 if you agree that they are the same.
This bug definitely exists on both Mac OS X 10.4 and Windows XP (both with current Quicktime as of 07/21/2006) and Firefox 1.5.04. QT is automatically invoked and then then Firefox crashes. IE on Windows XP does not crash, it requests a download.

I also hit this on the LinkSys site, oddly enough, looking at the hi res version of the diagram for the AS2TNC (http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Product_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1115416829262&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper)
