Firefox/1.0+

The page contains the following HTML:
  usability α (1/features)

But Firefox on Windows displays:
  usability a (1/features).
Attached file testcase
Also happens in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10)
Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6.
Summary: α displayed as a → α displayed as "a" when using verdana font
This worksforme on trunk and branch. Can you attach a screenshot?
The Verdana alpha looks a lot like an a to me - is this the problem?
It looks like the a in some other fonts, but not like the a in Verdana itself,
e.g. in "usability" and "features" in the testcase.

Yes, I see.  However, the bug seems to be WFM with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U;
Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20050903 Firefox/1.6a1
WFM

Heh, fwiw, I blinked a couple of times myself when I wrote the entry, but
that's just Verdana's crappy alpha :)
