User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6

Apple website loads first few items (no graphics) and then stops. I know it is
not my network, because IE6 running on the same machine loads Apple's site
without hitch. I have had this problem with no other site, which suggests
something wrong with the HTTP transaction specifically related to Firefox and
Apple. I have disabled AdBlock, to no effect. The page suddenly appears after 1
minute approx but Firefox still does not download any images.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/
2. Wait 1 minute. "Waiting for images.apple.com"
3. Rest of page finally loads. Still no images.

Expected Results:
Apple should load instanteously (I have a broadband connection). IE6 has no problem.
Does this happen with a clean profile or safe mode? Extensions are a pain for
causing problem.
Starting Mozilla in safe-mode doesn't help. I tried www.apple.com on the XP
machine (Firefox 1.0.6) elsewhere in the house, and apple's site loads fine. As
you can see I have no problem accessing bugzilla, and this problem with Apple's
site has only just appeared. I have a horrible feeling this bug may be difficult
to replicate, but it might be worth asking Apple if the configuration of
images.apple.com has changed and thus track any possible HTTP problem.

Works for me too, but you haven't addressed the issue. One browser works the
other doesn't. Explain.
Oh what fun, news.bbc.co.uk exhibits an almost identical problem on my
configuration. The same issue, with newsimg.bbc.co.uk not responding in a timely
manner. (i.e. an independent image server not responding to the primary HTTP
request).

I am almost ready to give up on this bug, but if any of you guys happen to know
the HTTP code inside-out, the problem may be obvious, and I wouldn't have to
waste my breath. Submitting bugs takes effort too you know, and we get even less
credit for this than bug-swatters.
OK problem fixed. It turns out to be related to Zonealarm blocking my DHCP
controller (ADSL Router). I still don't understand why Internet Explorer was
immune to the problem.
