mixed language in menus and menu/bar, most of things beeing in english.
multiuser usage was not possible at all .... problems with profiles....

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.install package as root
2.check package operation as root ... mixed langages...
3. same as user .. even in multiuser after using the recommended shell script.

Actual Results:  
things described  precedently ...


Expected Results:  
french version !!

This sounds like a problem with the french package.  The localized strings
should be in the config.ini and installer.ini files.  Please contact whoever
made the packages you're using.

Was another version previously installed? 

Please try the following: As root, go to Edit > Preferences > Appearence >
Languages/Content and switch to English (US) for both Language and Content.
Relaunch and switch back to French. Relaunch again. Are the languages still
mixed then?

The problem is solved.
It comes from a profile on the intranet which was reluctant to all modifications
and refused all change in configuration.
Changed to .mozilla.old the new config is OK and I have no more mixed menus on my
personal profile !

Sorry for my assertion against the french maintainer :-(((
